About the project:
The last two months in the life of 101-year-old Waclawa Pindelska. She survived the loss of her four-year-old daughter Isia, her brother, who died fighting in World War I, as well as her husband and two sisters. She lived through two World Wars and the communist regime. Before she retired, Waclawa Pindelska was a special education teacher at a school for mentally disabled children. She was very devoted to this work. She loved ice skating, dancing and music. She played the violin. Waclawa spent the last ten years of her life under the tender care of her beloved sons, Tadeusz Pindelski and Tomasz Pindelski at their home in Wroclaw, Poland. She was one of two sisters of my great-grandmother.
Poland, 2008 and 2009.
